A short drive brings visitors to the famous Confluence, where the North and Middle Forks of the American River meet amid dramatic granite cliffs and forested landscapes.  And if you're really up for an adventure, experience the exhilaration of white water rafting, or an unforgettable off-road trek along the world renowned Rubicon trail.

History lovers will find themselves surrounded by California Gold Rush heritage. Visit Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park in Coloma, the site of Sutter's Mill where gold was first discovered in 1848, setting off one of the most significant migrations in American history.
